Invitations

April is here, Spring is in the air and He is Risen! We had a great Easter weekend at our church and one of the things that made it great was the 60 guests that visited our services! Our staff is so proud of our church for inviting those guests to come hear the gospel. Who knows how many lives will be changed as a result of those invitations.

Over the next several weeks, your student is going to have the opportunity to invite their friends to some incredible events. The first is Hardwood Challenge on May 2. This is our big spring basketball tournament that we'll be hosting and it's a great venue for a guest to come and experience our ministry. In fact, we are so intentional about seeing this event be a "front door" for our ministry that we are only allowing teams to play that have at least 2 guests! Just like Pigskin Classic in the fall, Hardwood Challenge will start at 11am in the gym on May 2 and we'll play the tournament at Hebron High School that afternoon.

Another invitation opportunity is Beach Camp 2010, June 13-18. We've still got spaces open for camp but they're filling up fast because many of our students have invited guests - and most of these are first-time guests! Camp is going to be an incredible week of spiritual challenge and it will be a week where the gospel will be shared clearly by our camp pastor Ryan Dalgleish (who was also our speaker at Elevate Weekend). I want you to encourage your student about being at camp and bringing someone - who knows what God will want to do as a result of that invitation.

There's no question God is moving amongst our church and our students and we know He's called us to be salt and light to those around us. Often times, that begins very simply with starting a conversation which can lead to an invitation which God can use to create a divine appointment to draw a person to Him. Talk with your student about these events coming up and pray with them about being involved and inviting someone to these events. Help us out by volunteering at Hardwood or going with us to camp and, most importantly, pray that God would use these events to bring people to salvation! I can't wait to see how He uses your family to change lives.
